Our beloved Humphrey, who was also a rescue, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a short while ago. He was a wonderful little black and white Shih Tzu. We miss him so much. One morning I was feeling so empty. I decided that maybe giving an other animal a good and loving home would ease the pain a little. I went to Petfinder, and to my surprise, the first pet that I saw was a little black and white Shih Tzu. His name is Chester. Castle of Dreams had rescued him. I filled out the application and found out that there was an adoption pending for him already. So I thought maybe it wasn’t meant to be. A few days later, to my surprise, I received a call from Chester’s foster mom,Evelyn. She told me that the other adoption did not go through, and that if I would like to meet Chester, she would bring him over that day! I said, yes,of course.
Chester has been wonderful. My husband and myself just love him so much. He is very friendly with everyone, playful and that face…he has a wonderful expression that brings a smile to your face.
I am so grateful that I decided to go to Petfinder that morning. I did not get Chester to replace Humphrey, but to give a warm and loving home to another special pet….Humphrey would have loved Chester too!
One of Chester’s favorite things to do is to un-make a bed. In this picture that is what he is doing. He is having a wonderful time and so are we. He has added so much to our lives. Thank you to Petfinder, Castle of Dreams and especially Evelyn.
