Lola

Thank you so much for the lovely card. I adopted Lola about 8 years ago. She was a puppy mill Mama. She was so scared and had been treated so badly. With love and training, she became a Therapy Dog and worked with special needs children. She also helped me train and test New Therapy dogs. She made over 1000 visits over her 8 or 9 years of work with me. At home, she was my little Queen and Diva. She was my Heart dog. I lost her at the age of 13 about 2 months ago. She had a large sarcoma in her belly and her chances of making it through surgery because of the location we less than 10% so I had to make the hard decision to let her go. My heart is still breaking but I knew it was the right thing to do. She was not eating and the pressure against her spleen meant she was in pain. I let her go with dignity and peace holding her paw as I let her go. She enjoyed her life with her brother bassets Mo and Andy and her little Sister Reba. They miss their sister Lola but are still out visiting and carrying on her work.
