Sammie

We adopted our dog Sammie on Dec 23, 2009. She is a pointer mix, or red ticked coonhound mix – whatever she is she wonderful. We just came in from where she placed 4th in agility (the only first year dog to win a ribbon in agility) and 2nd in Obedience for her class. (she would have been first but she was distracted by our other dog barking and broke her long sit stay).

We are forever grateful to you and your family for welcoming her into your home.

These photos include Sammie running up the A-frame in agility, being shown by Sarah 12 in junior handling, sleeping with my 4 year old, and resting in her bed – the first one she has not destroyed within hours of recieving. I have high hopes that this bed will survive.

I just reread my original message to you and realized I left out that we had just returned from the Middlesex County Fair where she had won all the ribbons that I had mentioned over the course of the week. She also greeted hundreds of people at the Frisky Paws booth where she encouraged people to purchase dog biscuits to support our club. She was especially gentle with a young girl confined to her wheelchair. Sarah was able to hold her up so the girl could pet her. She also had a young boy so taken with her that he convinced his mother to purchase treats, even though they do not have a pet of their own, just to give them to Sammie.

Anyway, thanks again for listening to me brag about her. She is really very special to us all.
